The Bra sausage is a typical product of Piedmont .

The origins of this typical salami come from the village of Cherasco, adjacent municipality, where once stood a Jewish community of important dimensions that required sausages without pork. It seems that the time of the Statuto Albertino (mid 800) the State had authorized the use of beef for the sausage only to the butchers Bra.

The Bra sausage is often eaten fresh and raw. This bagged Piedmont was also included in the list of Food Products Traditional Piedmont recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.
